Vicla-style motorcycle artwork starts with the bike itself: stretched fenders, ape hangers, fishtail pipes, engraved chrome, and candy paint with murals that mean something to the rider. Rooted in lowrider culture and built “low and slow,” a Vicla is already a rolling piece of art. I draw yours as custom artwork created from your photos, with every pinstripe, engraving, and paint detail in place, and you in the saddle if you’d like. Deluxe, Heritage softail, or a one-off bagger build, I’ll make it look as good on paper as it does rolling down the street.
Custom Vicla Character Design
Mad Max Motorcycles wanted a mascot for their shop, and they wanted it riding their own custom Heritage Softail. The customer sent just one photo of the bike, but it was a good shot and that was all we needed. We captured the Vicla details: the ape hangers, fishtail exhaust, stretched fenders, and teal custom paint.
For the character, they wanted a skeleton in the style of classic Kustom Kulture monster-rod art, made famous by Ed “Big Daddy” Roth. Think bug-eyed, wild, and full of attitude. We brought that look into our toon style so the skeleton and the bike feel like they belong together.
When a project is for a business or brand, we’ll provide a sketch to the customer first before moving on to the full rendering. It makes changes easier before the final art is done. This one was almost perfect on the first try. The only change was swapping the baseball cap for a fedora.
Personalized Vicla Artwork
This custom Softail was drawn for personal use, and the customer had the artwork printed as a 24″x18″ poster for his man cave. The photo he sent was taken in front of a mural of a Aztec warrior, so we kept it in the artwork as a backdrop. It adds a lot of character and gives the bike a story to sit in front of.
A detailed background like this takes more time to create than a simple one, which affects the cost. If you’re thinking about adding a scene to your own artwork, let me know when you reach out and I’ll factor it into your quote.
Custom Fatboy & Road King Illustration
The owner of these two custom Viclas wanted both bikes in one illustration, parked side by side with a beach scene behind them to match the theme of his blue Fatboy, “El Tiki Azul.” The bikes were never photographed together, so we worked from several photo angles of each one and set them up as if they were parked next to each other. Palm trees, ocean, and a lifeguard tower finish off the scene.
If you want two bikes in one piece, send a few angles of each. The more photos we have, the easier it is to line them up so they look like they belong in the same shot.
Whether it’s a Heritage, Deluxe, or a Road King, a custom vicla design is a great way to show-off your bike or shop. If you have any questions or not sure where to begin, visit the “Artwork Estimates page” for more information.
